Privacy in the AFFLECK pilot
Last updated September 28, 2026. This notice describes the local pilot. Production hosting, processors, retention periods and privacy procedures must be finalized before collecting public users' information.
What the pilot stores and why
Accounts contain a name, email and hashed password. Contractor education evidence, profile information and optional photos support verification and matching. Assignment requests, bids, messages, deliverables and review records support the work process. Do not upload government identification numbers, banking credentials or unrelated sensitive records.
Who can see information
Education evidence is restricted to its owner and AFFLECK administrators. Approved profiles, portfolio information and optional photos are visible to signed-in members. Employers and assigned contractors can access their authorized assignment records. Bidding rates are restricted by role. AFFLECK administrators can review records needed to manage the service; messages to AFFLECK are visible to its administrators.
Photos and downloads
Photo uploads are resized and re-encoded, with embedded metadata removed. You may remove your profile photo from your profile page. Credential and deliverable downloads are access-controlled. Uploaded documents are not yet malware-scanned; do not assume a downloaded file is safe.
Storage and access requests
The local installation stores records on the computer running its server. There are no advertising trackers included in this build. Session cookies support sign-in. Contact Jesse at jesseaffleck@icloud.com or 778-859-2954 to ask about access, correction, deletion, retention or a suspected privacy issue. Identity may need to be verified before records are disclosed or changed. Applicable recordkeeping obligations may limit deletion.
Before public launch
AFFLECK must finalize a retention schedule, privacy contact responsibilities, service-provider arrangements, breach procedures and user consent notices. This pilot notice is not a substitute for that work.
