Education with a pathway
Certificates, diplomas, degrees, and ongoing school credits can establish eligibility. Evidence must be independently reviewed before bidding is enabled.
ABOUT AFFLECK
Businesses have work that needs doing. Educated people have skills they want to put to use. AFFLECK is being built to bring those needs together.
OUR PURPOSE
The idea began with a question: how can people build meaningful work experience as AI changes the way companies hire and operate?
Our approach is a managed marketplace. Employers bring defined assignments. Contractors bring verifiable education. AFFLECK coordinates the quote, invitations, bidding, and communication.
We are at the early development stage. Our mission is to create a useful route into paid work, with results and contractor outcomes measured as the business grows.
WHAT WE’RE BUILDING AROUND
Certificates, diplomas, degrees, and ongoing school credits can establish eligibility. Evidence must be independently reviewed before bidding is enabled.
We begin with website/app testing and bookkeeping cleanup and reconciliation, so each category can develop its own matching and review standards.
A five-hour bidding window, two bids per invited contractor, and reliability-based selection from the three lowest distinct eligible bidders. Contractors can set personal minimum rates.
Education verification does not guarantee the quality of a particular deliverable. As the pilot develops, our plan is to pair eligibility with practical assessment, clear acceptance criteria, and experienced review.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Competitive bidding creates a tension: lower rates can increase the platform’s spread while reducing contractor earnings. Our updated rules share some savings with employers and select on verified reliability within the three lowest eligible bids. Our plan is to track contractor earnings, repeat participation, work quality, and customer retention alongside financial performance.
The goal is an enduring network of employers and professionals. A functioning bidding system is only the beginning; reliable delivery and fair, clearly understood engagements will determine whether the model works.
